ORDERING, SHIPPING AND REFUND INFORMATION
We require a nonrefundable 15% deposit on any COD orders. This prepayment can be made by credit card, check or money order. We strongly recommend that you use other methods of delivery/payment because of the possible time delay and extra freight charges of shipping via COD. All COD orders will be bulled an additional non-refundable charge of $5.00 for each shipment. All COD orders over $500.00 require cash, money order or certified check. COD orders are ONLY take via telephone @ 1-800-262-1889. COD is not an option when purchasing online.
We guarantee your complete satisfaction with any of the products we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase within 30 days of original invoice date you can return the items for a full refund. Call our order line for a return authorization number and ship items back to us via prepaid freight. We will not pay return freight for any items unless the items were shipped mistakenly. All returned items must be returned with original packaging. If the items do not have all original packaging then we must charge a 15% repackaging charge. No returns will be accepted after the 30 day deadline. No returns are accepted on cut lengths of rope, hose, fiberglass, etc. or without a return authorization number. Electronic items such as GPS, VHF, radars, fishfinders and compasses are returnable only if in original factory sealed (unopened) box. Approved electronics returns will be issued store credit only.
Upon receiving your order please check to make sure that no items have been damaged during shipping. If items have been damaged do not accept delivery of those items. Refuse the shipment and follow the directions of the shipper, then contact our order line for a reshipment.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY SPECIFICATIONS Our standard order carriers are UPS for general delivery and Overnite Express for larger truck shipments. All shipping rates on our website default to UPS Ground, if you prefer a faster shipping method please indicate in the "order specifications" on the online order page. We will then rebill your shipping charges and ship the order as you specified.
UPS maximum weight per package is 150 lbs. UPS maximum size per package is 130 inches in length and girth combined. For any package measuring over 84 inches in combined length and girth combined will be charged a minimum amount equal to the charge of a package weighing 30 lbs. All items which are larger than 150 lbs. and/or larger than 130 inches length+girth must be delivered via motor freight collect. Orders shipped in multiple boxes may or may not arrive at the same time. At the time of your order our sales person will notify you of any special shiping details that your order requires.
All items in our catalog which are designated as Hazardous Materials are indicated by a triangular shape with the letter H inside. HazMats are chemicals such as paints and thinners, flammable and combustible items such as flares or corrosives. Any order which contains HazMats will be subject to an additional charge of $10.00 per box. We are currently not shipping flares.
All of the following conditions will result in additional freight charges to the customer. 1. Customer requires shipping service other than UPS ground, in which case freight will be calculated and charged according to current rates. 2. Item is larger than standard UPS size. 3. Item must be shipped via common carrier freight due to size. 4. Item is classified as Hazardous Material.
Our electronics program is based on the lowest pricing margins possible to provide our customers with an affordable and fast method for purchasing a wide variety of marine electronics equipment. Due to our low margins we cannot except any returns of electronics unless the item was shipped in error by Coastal Marine. Furthermore we do not service electronics, so if your product breaks or needs service do not send it back to us, you must send it directly to the service center of the electronics manufacturer. We urge all of our customers to fill out their warranty cards as soon as the item arrives to assure full service and support via manufacturer. It is our experience that all marine electronics manufacturers are much more responsive to customers who have filled our all required warrantee and registration information. |
